DIY Wooden Phone Stand – Made from Scrap Wood
Ever have a project go wrong and decide to turn it into something new? That’s exactly how this walnut phone stand came to life. What started as a failed napkin holder from another build ended up becoming one of my favorite little desk accessories I’ve made!
In the video, I show how I took a bowed piece of walnut, cut it down to size, and created a simple, interlocking DIY phone stand using just a few tools. The build was completely unplanned; I eyeballed most of the measurements and used my phone for reference.
If you want to make one yourself, I’ve included a free download of the plans below. These plans aren’t super detailed, just enough to guide you through the cuts and angles so you can make it your own.

To make this easier for you, I created a free downloadable PDF that displays all the measurements needed to build this DIY phone stand for yourself.
I have included a download for both mm & inches for your convince.

This project is part of my ongoing Christmas Market Series, where I’m building small, handmade wooden gifts to sell at local markets. If you missed Episode 1, where I made some wooden trivets from scrap wood, you can watch it here:
